Here at Conyers First United Methodist Church, we seek to create a special place for you to worship God and to connect with others. Our church experience is composed of powerful music, meaningful messages, and dear friends gathering together for what matters most. We hope you will drop by one Sunday and join us.
Visiting any church for the first time stirs up many questions. Below is a glance into our church to help you know what to expect.
Where is Conyers First located?
You can find us in the heart of Olde Town Conyers at 921 Main Street.
What does Conyers First believe?
What can our kids participate in on Sunday mornings?
No matter the age of your child, we have a meaningful and fun opportunity
for everyone! Between the nursery, Sunday school classes, and Faith Friends,
every child can enjoy Jesus and worshipping Him with new friends.
What types of experiences are available for youth
and adults on Sundays?
From 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., we have many classes and small groups
covering
a range of relevant topics and studies of the Bible for today’s
youth and adults. Not only will you find opportunities for spiritual growth
through our classes/groups, but you’ll also find friendships and
support.
Are there any meals on Sunday?
We do serve breakfast each Sunday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and the home-style
breakfast is a hit! There’s no charge for the breakfast but a donation
is accepted.
On various Sundays, classes and ministry groups will also
offer lunch in the fellowship hall or outside when the weather is good.
Eating together is always a great way to get to know others!
What kind of services do you offer?
Traditional Service: We have two traditional worship services in the Sanctuary
each Sunday, one at 8:30 a.m. for the early risers and one at 10:55 a.m.
that includes our legendary Chancel choir and a children’s moment.
Both of these services are classical in nature, with creeds, responsive
readings and traditional hymns.
Contemporary Service: This worship experience meets in the Fellowship Hall
each week at 11 a.m. Grab a cup of coffee, meet a new friend, and come on
in and join us in worship. Jody Thompson and the Praise Band lead us in
singing and worship. Multi-media, drama, and art often find their way into
the service. The creative teaching approach seeks to connect you with the
Word of God that brings life.
